Hummingbird Moth
Up until this Spring I had only seen a clearwing hummingbird moth once. Much to my delight this season, however, I am spotting 2 variations on a regular basis on my property. The other one has yellow bumble bee stripes on its back and was scooting around these flowers at the same time this one was.
Being a perfectionist It is still my goal to get an awesome side profile shot. I have a few profile shots but am not sure I have the ‘one’ yet :) It has proven quite a challenge to photograph these little guys as their wings beat just as fast as a hummingbird and they do NOT land and stay still.
